About

Founded in 1836, Wesleyan College is considered one of the oldest women's universities in the world.
Located in Macon, Georgia (near Atlanta) in the Southeastern United States, Wesleyan continues the tradition of excellent education for women.

For the 2023 winter European tour, they have brought a small group of outstanding singers and pianists from Georgia. The group includes students, teachers and community members of Wesleyan College.

Dr. Chenny Gan

Musician. Artist. Teacher. Philosopher. Leader. Caregiver.

Dr. Chenny Gan loves the process of music-making, finding ways to combine her art with the Unexpected or Adventurous through unusual venues, programming, and collaborations. Her performance and teaching engagements have brought her around the world, to countries and regions including China, Canada, Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic, Russia, Finland, Estonia, Italy and the United States.

 

She is currently on the faculty at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia (USA), where she helped establish the innovative Master of Arts in Music program.For her myriad accomplishments, Chenny’s biography has been featured in Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who in American Education. Her stellar teaching was recognized nationally when she was named on the "40 Under 40" list of the best young professors in the U.S., selected by NerdScholar.com. She has also been awarded the Outstanding Teaching Award by the United Methodist Board of Education. She strives every day to learn something new and lead a worthwhile life filled with expression, purpose, and compassion.
